Fat Burner

Your internal fat burner

Your autonomic nervous system decides if you are going to burn fat or not. Your “autonomic” nervous does what it sounds like. It’s your automatic nervous system. It does all those things that you don’t think about in your body like govern your digestion, heart rate, immune system, fat metabolism and much more.

If you eat a high carbohydrate and sugar diet your autonomic nervous system will focus on using sugar for energy and this is the state your body will be in:

  • You’re “Fight or flight” nervous system will dominate (sympathetic nervous system)
  • You’ll have a high heart rate (not good for overall health)
  • You’ll burn glucose for energy (sugar)
  • Carbohydrates give you less energy (4 kilocalories per gram of carbohydrate)
  • You’ll be using short term energy
  • Your body will be in a high intensity state (burns your body out)
  • You’ll have decreased immune function
  • You’ll increases free radicals in your body (you know, those things that cause cancer)

If you eat a diet of proteins, good fats and vegetables, your autonomic nervous system will focus on burning fat and this is the state you will be in:

  • Your “Rest and digest” nervous system will be dominant (parasympathetic nervous system)
  • You’ll have a low heart rate
  • You’ll burn fatty acids for energy (Yes, now we are burning fat!)
  • Fats give you more energy (9 kilocalories per gram of fat)
  • You’ll be in an endurance energy state (will have more long term energy)
  • Your body will be functioning at a low intensity (Your body will be more rested)
  • You’ll have normal immune function
  • You will increases mitochondria in muscle cells (more physical energy and endurance)

As you can see, eating a diet of proteins, good fats and vegetables will cause you to burn fat. Where if you eat carbohydrates and sugar your body will use our blood sugar for energy. Burning fat for fuel will cause you to give us more energy, help our immune system and give us more endurance through out the day.
