A diet with a high amount of Saturated fat can help you lose weight, cure epilepsy and possibly slow down cancer!
In 1957 the American Heart Association claimed that we need to reduce the saturated fat in our diets because it supposedly caused heart disease.
In 1984 consumer advocacy groups campaign against the use of saturated fat in restaurants to improve the health of Americans.
Because of the alarm about how unhealthy saturated fat is, we were steered toward using hydrogenated vegetable oils or trans fats.
Since we started using hydrogenated oils or trans fats the incidence of obesity, heart disease and type 2 diabetes have gone up in the use.
“Trans fats raise your bad (LDL) cholesterol levels and lower your good (HDL) cholesterol levels. Eating trans fats increases your risk of developing heart disease and stroke. It’s also associated with a higher risk of developing type 2 diabetes.” -American Heart Association (www.heart.org)
Wow… just writing this makes me think “What were they thinking?”. How many people have had miserable lives and died because of these guidelines? I know that my family was lead to believe that this was healthy and most of them had major medical issues like the ones you see above.
The Standard American Diet (SAD) is not healthy for us.
There are some amazing medical breakthroughs going on though. It has been known that a “ketogenic diet” (a diet high in saturated fat) is a way of preventing seizures in children with epilepsy and now science is looking at some other possibilities. Saturated fat in the diet is now being studied for reversing some kidney disorders and even cancer (it’s well known that cancer cells grow from sugar).
But here is the good part. What modern science is planning to do is to make a pill that has the benefits of the ketogenic diet in it so that you don’t have to eat healthy. That is how screwed up this society is. They don’t want to promote the preventative way to health but they want to manufacture a product that we can buy to give us the benefits of eating right. This is one reason why the state of health care in the US is in so much trouble and in danger of collapse. The systems wants us to be unhealthy so that they can sell us something. And they are wanting to do is make it mandatory for all US citizens to pay for this system. This is not health care, it is a con.
So if we eat a diet rich in healthy, natural saturated fats we will lose weight, have less heart disease, less of a chance of type 2 diabetes, less kidney problems, less of a chance of having epilepsy and be less prone to cancer. What are you waiting for?
Just remember that even thought you eat healthy saturated fats from meats you also need a good supply of vegetables and drink good water. This is how to eat right. Remember no wheat, dairy, soy, sugar.
